To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
This weekend we celebrate Mothers Day. This is a special day, where all who have mothers (this does include you) take the time to remember their moms, and honour them. It is also a great day, if you have children, to celebrate the mother of your children. I am blessed to have two women fill these roles who are very easy to honour! Lori, you are a blessing to me, thank you for your love for me and our boys, I honour you. You are amazing and as a mom, your sacrificial love is noticed and appreciated, and your service to us all, over the top. Thank you for loving our boys and teaching them about Jesus so effectively from such a young age. Mom, I praise God for you, for your prayers, your model of godliness, your desire and passion for missions that saw you reach out in love and grace to so many. I am proud of you both, and feel very blessed by God to have you in my life, and have been impacted by you both in ways that have caused me to be more faithful to God!
To all of the other mothers in our midst, thank you for all you do! God's plan, has from the beginning included you, and the impact you have on your children is one of the most important in their lives. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
Take the time to write a card, get a gift, and give a big hug and kiss! Not only is it a part of the 10 commandments, it is worth doing, so choose to use this celebration as a reminder of what we should be doing a lot more of, and honour your mother, and the mother of your children.
Our community has been mourning a lot in the last few weeks, as death and tragedy seem to be invading our lives. Please pray for families that have experienced loss, and pray for all who have been impacted by this. Please pray for me as well, as I seek to bring comfort and hope to situations that are so broken! Life in a fallen world is not easy and I pray that we can shine the love of our Saviour into lives that are so heavily impacted by tragedy!

May our God grant us the grace to love those in need, the experience of His love to be full to overflowing, even when we hurt, and the wisdom to speak the right words in situations that can be overwhelmingly difficult.
