Love On Display

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

What a joy to be able to serve Jesus with this family!  A big thank you to all who helped with the lunches the last two weeks, and for so many of you that came and learned about missions and celebrated Canada with us.  The food was great, fellowship a pleasure, and reminded me again what a joy it is to serve with you.

One of the areas we constantly want to work on is CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE OF LOVE.  What we mean by this is that if someone was to visit for the first time (or is a regular attender), they would find the love of Jesus overflowing from each person that knows Him that attends here.  What does this practically mean, it means a friendliness that is on the surface and willing to go beyond that where needed, it means a joy in self sacrificial service, and a desire on each persons part to out honour one another.  We are being blessed with growth, and as we grow we want this atmosphere of love to continue to be at the heart of who we are, and contagious for all who come to join us in seeking to glorify the KING!  As you prayerfully prepare to hear from God's Word, also pray that God would show you how you can participate in this atmosphere of love in a way that deepens our reputation for this!  WE NEED YOU, and God's love flowing through you!

Prayer:  Prayer meetings continue over the summer on Tuesday nights from 7-8.  Please take the time out of your schedule to join us in corporate praise and prayer.  The vast majority of our time is spent in prayer, and as we move forward we want to be sure we are a church that actively depends on God in prayer, and this is one of the key ways that we do this.  Mark these nights on your calendar and come and join us!  Please also be praying for Soccer Camp, and all those who are serving in kids ministry over this summer.  One of the great delights we have is effective ministry to the 4-14 window, and if you are serving great, if not your prayers are as important!

Sunday Is Coming:  We are taking a three week break from our, In The World But Not Of The World series to focus on being who God wants us to be.  This series is to lead into Soccer Camp, and then follow up on Soccer Camp, walking through John 15, and how we can live for God's glory together.

Title:  Living God's Dream:  Know It

Text:  John 15:1-17

Why is it important to know what our preferred future should be?

What does it mean to Glorify God?

How are we to do that?

Why does this passage teach that we are to bear fruit, proving ourselves to be His disciples?

What if we don't have fruit?  What is fruit?

How can we pursue fruit filled living as followers of Jesus?

Privileged to be your pastor,
