To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
Last week I had the amazing privilege of being in Louisville for the TGC council meetings. They invited us Canadians to come and observe, and it was an amazing joy to see brothers and sisters (most of my heroes were there) sharing from their own personal lives, discussing trends, and pursuing revival. Our impact through TGC is world wide and profound! I praise God that we as a church are a part of this network, and are able to have a voice at the table in this worldwide movement!
As always it was good to get home. Just about missed my flight in Toronto, and that would have been very sad! I am home for a few days, and then off on a wonderful family holiday, so if you email and don't get a quick response please contact someone else from the office!
We have the great privilege of having sponsored a refugee family, and now that they are here we want you to take the opportunity to get to know them, and share God's love (and some english language) with them. If you would be willing to help us love them, please talk to Murray Isaac, or sign up at the ministry centre. The more the better and you are welcome to take them out, or invite them into your home.
Reminder: Sunday is MOTHERS DAY! An opportunity for us to honour our own mothers, and the mothers of our children. We praise God for a Sunday set aside for us to remember how our own mothers have blessed us, and to love them, as well as to honour all mothers. Take the time to LOVE ON your mom! Take the time to LOVE ON the mother of your children! If someone has been a spiritual mom to you, send them a quick thank you, especially if they did not have children of their own! Choose on this day to be a blessing to those who have blessed you!
One of our wonderful staff is moving on from her job, and she has been a blessing, not only in her pursuit of excellence, but also in her character. Lorraine, thank you for serving Jesus on our staff with us, we appreciate you, and are thankful for your work with us. May God bless you in your next steps of life and ministry! We will miss you, and hope you know our haunts are still your home.
