Game On Is Close At Hand...SEND COOKIES

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

URGENT:  We need your prayers and your cookies.  Game On is happening next week, and one of the things we love to give to our children and all adults that gather are cookies.  We need 40 dozen cookies by next Monday.  Please, if you are able, bake some cookies and get them to the church ASAP.  We ask that you make cookies with NO NUTS, or PEANUT BUTTER.  So many of you have helped in the past, and we need you now.  If you are able please bring to the office, during office hours or contact Robyn at Robyn@cloverdalebaptist.ca

GAME ON:  Please be in prayer for this ministry as our prayers are key to the impact of reaching others for Jesus and showing them His love.  Meditate on Exodus 17 (especially verse 11) and let's go into next week with arms raised high on their behalf!  Be sure to also continue to pray and pursue those in your sphere of influence for Gospel Opportunities.

Our Egypt team leaves this week, and covets your prayers for their travels, safety, and impact.  Please pray for each individual, and this team as they go to do Gospel ministry in a place that so desperately needs it!  We actually can join them in their struggle by praying for them (Romas 15:30), and this is a great privilege and responsibility for our church.  Please pray for them, they leave Friday at 4:30.

Sunday Is Coming:

Text: Judges 17-18

Title:  Final Lessons From Judges

The two key messages of this great book are the horror of compromise, and the delight of God's grace to those who compromise, individually and as a people group.  The darker the depth of compromise gets, the deeper the delight in His grace.  It truly is a difficult book to read without being convicted and in God's grace running to cling to the mercy seat and seek to live lives of full devotion to Jesus.

We are in the darkest part of this book.

Israel still has religion, but have totally lost sight of the God of the Bible.  They might have the name and some of the religious forms close, but they have lost God.  It is not truly a pagan nation, and YET God is still there loving them.

These last chapters are sad and convicting.  Pray that God would allow you to see the darkness, deceit and death of compromise, even as you rest in the beauty of His grace, forgiven, free and fully devoted to obeying His Word!

Looking forward to being with you this Sunday as together in unity and joy we seek the face of God, and live our lives in utter astonishment at the grace He has given us, and purpose He has called us to.

Seeking to grow with you deeper and wider, in our love for God and impact on those He has placed around us,

Pastor Rob
