Celebrate & Workers Needed

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

Jesus said that His disciples would be known by their love for one another...I just heard reports that we gave to the Langley Food Bank 682 Kilos (1 and 1/2 tons) of food, and some cash.  Pastor Thomas dad was overwhelmed by our generous supportive giving, and I continue to be thankful for our practical love on display in this.  THANK YOU for being a GREAT church, in your love for those in need in practical display.  As we grow deeper, this love will grow wider and already we display the majesty of God's love through our love.  WELL DONE!

HELP!  We are moving quickly to summer and the spiritual highlight of our summers is our KIDS MINISTRY.  Kids Camp is coming quickly and WE NEED MORE HELPERS!  In fact Robyn and Hannah shared with our staff today that if we don't get them we will have to turn children away, and we would never want to do that.  If you have a heart for God, and desire children to know and love Jesus please see Robyn or Hannah, and join us in being GREAT as defined by pointing people to Jesus.  I have become more and more convinced that the greatest need for focused impact is with KIDS, and that our excellent ministries to children need our continued prayer and support.  HELP!

Had the privilege of spending time with Jack Eggar of Global Children's Network.  What a joy to hear of things that are happening around the world that impact the 4-14 window.  Jack's golf game might not be where he wants it, but his heart for ministry and passion to see churches around the world be involved in Great Commission living is a joy to see.  Take the time to look up this ministry and pray for them.

Missions Prayer:  Please be in prayer for Tony and his ministry to the Persian world.  Please pray for persecuted Christians all over the world, that they would be able to stand strong in their faith.  Pray also that we would be a support to them, and truly alive in our own faith as we seek to live our lives for the SAKE OF HIS NAME as fellow workers for the truth.

Sunday Is Coming:

Sermon:  The Way To Blessing
Text: Psalm 1

This summer we are going to spend time working our way through the book of Psalms.  It is the praise book of the Bible.  Inspired worship, crying out to God, teaching, and developing great theology of the heart.

Psalm 1 is the foundational Psalm, and the beginning of the Psalter.  It introduces us to the person who knows God and follows God.

It is the pathway to worship, the pathway to blessing!

Psalm 1 cautions us to keep our path away from the wicked, and on Word saturated.  It is a challenge for us to live for God's glory.  It is a warning and a calling, and worth our memorizing and learning from.

My prayer is that our journey this summer through Psalms will develop in us a passion for praise, that is doctrinally sound, deep, and life changing.

Looking forward to Sunday!

Privileged to praise God with you, and seek His glory as a family,

Pastor Rob
