It has been a great week! Christmas at the Godard house was amazing, as usual...and at church, a joy to be with you all and to be a part of seeing eternity changed as people grew in Him, and came to trust in Him as LORD and Saviour! I didn't miss Christmas!
Sunday is January 1, and a new start to a New Year! God is so good, and His mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness, and a New Year is a reminder for us of this!
Encourage you this year to set some New Years resolutions, not because you will keep them perfectly, as none of us will, but as there are things in your life that need to be improved in your desire to be conformed to the image of Jesus and this is as good of time as any to work on this. What you put off to tomorrow rarely gets done! I am setting goals for my personal life, my family life, and my role in God's family. Fun and challenging to seek God's face in longing to be all that He wants me to be, and to see the good works He has prepared in advance for me to do! Share your pursuit with those closest to you, and seek to grow in every area of your life!
If you are looking for some spiritual help in your marriage, we will seek to share great books and video series that can help in that, in the coming year. One of the books that I think is well worth your buying and reading if you want a God honouring marriage is, Love & Respect, by Emerson Eggerichs. Worth the read, and seeking to apply it, and if you get the copy with the DVD, that can be helpful as well! The best time to work on your marriage is now, whether it fine, or if it is frail! Lori will have a free copy of the book on Sunday to give the first person who responds to this email and asks for it, who promises to read it. We will also make sure that the Library has, or gets copies of this book and video.

For many years we have used the Sunday after Christmas to remind us to be ready for Jesus return! Encourage you to live your life in light of His return, for it could be any day!
If you were to die, or Jesus was to return, are you ready right now? If Jesus asked you why He should let you into His heaven, what would you say?
What changes would you make in your life next week if you knew that Jesus was coming on January 8?
How can you live your life in joyful anticipation of Jesus return?
Looking forward to another great Sunday with you, and have great anticipation as to what God has in store with us in the coming year! We are starting the year with a communion service, and I can't imagine a better way to remember, rejoice, and recommit our lives to Jesus! It is good to PROCLAIM HIS DEATH until He returns!
