Baptism

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

It is good to belong to the family of God!  It is a joy to belong to this specific family as we seek God's glory together!  Baptism is one of our great celebrations, and we will be having a baptismal service this Sunday...if you would like to be baptized this Sunday, there is still time, please make an appointment with a pastor and we will be pleased to help you in this step of obedience!  Don't put it off any longer!

We are longing to be a CULTURE OF EVANGELISM:  This is not easy, as the world we live in does not welcome evangelism or the exclusiveness of the Gospel.  Sharing your faith will include:  Knowing & Experiencing The Gospel Personally; Seeing People Through Eyes Of Faith; Praying For The Lost; Investing your life in the lives on those who are not in right relationship with Jesus...

And INVITING.  This is a willingness to invite your friends who you are investing in to meet with others in the family of God through a church event or service.  We know that it is only as the Holy Spirit is at work can true conversion take place, and we also know that He uses His people and His preached Word to appeal to others to believe in Him.  Inviting is as easy as inviting your friends to a Sunday Morning Service, or event...and then making sure that you help them understand what happens in the service.  We hope that our worship of Jesus is different than the culture around us, so different that it is wonderfully strange, and that this is used by God to bring them to Him.  Sunday morning exists for the glory of God, and the building up of His people, and as those who join us that don't know Him see our love for God and hunger for His Word, they will ask us for the reason for the hope we have.

My encouragement to you this week as we develop this culture of evangelism is that you look through the people you are praying for and invite some of them to church.  When they see how we love God as a church family, it is something God can use to further His Kingdom!

Missions:  As we move into the summer months, encourage you to PRAY for the short term missionaries we send out from our church family, and choose to support them.  You can do this through fund raisers, like the flower ministry, or donating specifically to their ministry.  Pastor made pen's are still available from Jeff Godard for a minimum donation of $20 for his mission fund.

Sunday Is Coming:

Sermon Title:  Living Life Together

Text:  Galatians 6:1-5

Why do you think that it is hard to carry others burdens?

How can we learn to be less self centred, and more honouring to one another?

Jesus said we would be known by our love for one another, how can you display that you belong to Him this week?

How can we be more effective individually and as a church in carrying one another's burdens?

Have a great week, and choose God's way as you seek to walk in the Spirit this week!

Privileged to be your pastor,

Pastor Rob
