Thankful

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

Thank you!

Once in a while it is good to step back and express thanksgiving for God using us to impact eternity, and I am thankful for you as a church family, and all you are doing to help us make an eternal impact.

I am thankful that as a church we have a heart for KIDS.  High Power Soccer Camp started as a dream of one of our members, and now through Cloverdale Baptist Church, not only are we still using this tool to impact our community it is being used all around the world through AWANA to draw children to Jesus.  I am thankful for so many in our family that are serving, for a leadership team that value and pray for this, and the chance to see children impacted for Jesus!  This morning to see so many running around and having fun is a delight, and they will hear the Gospel message!  Knowing that not only hear, but all around the world Cloverdale Baptist is bearing fruit because of our value of children's ministry now and in our past...Keep Praying!

The Elders have encouraged and freed me to serve on the board of Global Children's Network, a ministry to equip children's workers around the globe at effective ministry to the 4-14 window.  What a privilege to be a part of this ministry and support Jack Eggar and our team in this new ministry.  Children all around the world are being impacted by Cloverdale Baptist Church through the equipping of children's workers, and you are a part of that by praying, giving, and allowing me to serve the children of the world in this manner...THANK YOU!  Keep Praying!

I am thankful that as a church we have a heart for youth and C & C.  Our youth are being trained to honour Jesus through preaching and teaching, and this ministry is producing leaders.  Almost all of our ministry leaders during soccer camp come from this pool.  I am thankful that we invest in youth, and seek to see them equipped and growing to serve others.  We have 8 of our youth serving at Sunnybrae Bible camp, reaching kids for Jesus, leading in worship, and seeking to change eternity.  For years, our youth have been a major part of this ministry.  What a joy to see our youth with a ministry heart impacting so many people for Jesus!  Keep Praying!

I am thankful that we as a church have so many that are seeking to stand on the Word of God, and join us in preferring one another as we seek to be multi-ethnic and multi-generational.  This is not easy, and yet what a privilege to try to do it the way that God has designed in His Word.  I am thankful that together we are seeking to live out God's Word, and to reach those around us with the Gospel.  May our God keep us loyal to His Word and abounding in His love.   Keep Praying!

I am thankful for so many seniors who are seeking to live their lives in an impactful way, fully devoted to Jesus.  What a joy to see the hunger of our seniors for God's Word, to see you (me too as an honorary senior) praying for our church.  May God continue to use us seniors to selflessly serve Jesus and the upcoming generations of people!  Keep Praying!

I am thankful for our JST, and the willingness of so many to serve, and engage God's people in service!  What a joy to serve together with this team, and know each values Jesus and His bride at CBC.  Keep Praying!

So, as you continue to serve, and pray, and help others around you do the same...THANK YOU!  I praise God for Cloverdale Baptist Church, and the fruit that is being produced in us and through us through the power of the Holy Spirit, and our efforts!  I am thankful for Cloverdale Baptist Church.  Take the time this week to notice and to be thankful!

1 Corinthians 15:58

Don't forget PRAYER MEETING:  Every Tuesday over the summer months, and join us in acknowledging that apart from Him we can do nothing, and with Him we can do all things!  7-8

Sunday Is Coming:

Text:  John 15:1-17

Title:  Living The Dream:  Pursue It

Last Sunday we saw that our purpose for living is twofold as displayed in John 15:8;  1.  To Glorify God:  Display His infinite value in how we live, and respond to all of life;  2.  To Bear Fruit:  Actions, Attitudes, Adoration and Assembly.

As you reflect on John 15:1-17, what does it teach you about your part in pursuing this dream?

What are some steps you can take to make sure you are on mission with Jesus?

Pray that your heart, and the hearts of God's people would be open to making renewed commitments to seek to pursue who God wants us to be!

Thankful, and honoured to serve you...
