Pray for Egyptian Followers Of Jesus

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

Cloverdale Baptist Church is hosting a conference to celebrate the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation, and to ask the question, how can we deepen our own love for God and obedience to His Word in our day.  We will be bringing in many different pastors and teachers, and this is an event that I would strongly encourage you all to attend if you want to grow spiritually.  There is a cost, and as sponsors of this event we are willing to cover half of the cost for people who attend our church (talk to Peter Sylvester).  If money is an issue and the reason you would not attend, please let us know and we will try to find a way for you to come.  It is not often that we have the quality and quantity of speakers and I am excited to see how God will use this to deepen our faith and broaden our impact.  CONSIDER COMING!

If you want to register, you can sign up on tgc-bc.com.

This month we kicked off many exciting things at CBC, and I would strongly encourage you to connect and get involved.  With so much happening, it is essential that each of us check the website, bulletin, and other ways of communication so that we don't miss out!  Especially notice opportunities we have for you to get to know Ray and Robyn, please take the time to prayerfully get to know them!

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOD DOING:

Each week I would like to encourage us to pray for and engage with Christians around the world.  God is at work, and uses our prayers to grow and protect others.  Christians around the world continue to suffer persecution.  Read a horrifying report this week, on what is happening to some young girls who name the name of Jesus in Egypt, being kidnapped, humiliated, and forced into marriages with muslims.  We need to be in prayer for protection and freedom for Christians all over the world who are suffering because of their Christianity!  Please pray for our Egyptian brothers and sisters, and especially the young girls among them, that they will be safe, secure, and fully devoted to Jesus.  They need our prayers!

Keep praying for our Refugee family.  We have not heard much lately, and God willing are only a short time away from getting to meet them!  Please pray for their health, and that the proper channels will open up for them to come to us, where we can serve our LORD together in Canada!

Sunday night is a missions reporting night, where all of our short term missionaries report to the church how God used them, and our prayers to accomplish great things for His Kingdom.  This is always an exciting night, and an opportunity to support these people in what they have done (6:30-8:30) and to continue to pray for ministries here and around the world together as a church.  We want to be involved in world missions, and this is one of the ways we do this as a church family!

Sunday Is Coming:

Title:  Trusting God:  He Is ALL WISE!

Text:  Genesis 45 & 50

Why is it important for Christians who want to trust God to believe that He has a PLAN (Ephesians 1:11) and that this plan is the best possible plan?

How does Joseph story of rejection and pain help us to experience the joy of faith in the midst of our own trials?

Last week we focused on the POWER of God, this week on His PLAN, discuss why both of these are important to grasp if we want to trust God?

We briefly looked at Job, Joseph & Jesus, we are going to bring them up again this Sunday because if we can see through their joys and pains that God's plan is best, we can trust Him in anything that He allows in our lives.

Pray that you would be able to know His NAME so that you can put your trust in Him!

Praying and Rejoicing,

Pastor Rob

P.S.

Please pray for the God's will to be done in regards to our new pastor of care and evangelism, Ray Dueck (and his wife Robyn).  We long for God's will and know as you get to know them, and pray, we will discover it together!
