Christmas Is Coming

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

We have entered into the in between time.  In between the Reformation Day and Christmas, there is a lot of preparation but in it the sun goes down earlier, and sometimes November and February can drag.  As we move into November this year, lets do so with the joy of knowing the presence and power of God, and joyfully look for the good works He has prepared in advance for us to do.  This month God wants to use you to impact eternity, eagerly look for where, and encourage those around you to do the same.  We have the awesome privilege and responsibility to serve Him, and to do so with freedom and joy!

November 11 is coming, and this is an opportunity to remember those who have gone before us in fighting for our freedom as well as pray for those currently serving.  I am a proud Canadian and encourage you to remember and pray!

What In The Church Is Happening?

Baptism:  We are having a baptism on November 26.

Prayer:  More and more we want a culture of prayer in our church family.  Please seek to grow in this personally as we seek to grow in it corporately!

Lots going on...stay informed by reading the bulletin and going online.

What In The World Is Going On?

The big news this week that shocked the world was the shootings in Texas.  We need to pray for our sisters and brothers in the USA as they recover from this tragic event.  As we trust that God has a plan, we also grieve with those who are grieving, and join the in their suffering through prayer and love.  Please this week pray for this church, and all impacted, and that our God would be glorified through their response as they are comforted in the shelter of His wings.

May we suffer together in such a way that points people to our satisfaction in Jesus!

Sunday Is Coming:

Review:  God is Holy:  Isaiah 6:1-8:  Any experience of His holiness and grace is followed by radical commitment.  "Here I am, send me" . What you command, where you command, how you command, always"

Title:  How In The World Can I Be Holy?  I Already Am

Text:  2 Corinthians 5:21

Review: 1 Peter 1:13-17; Isaiah 6:1-8

Why is our pursuit of holiness important?

What does it mean that I am declared Righteous in Christ?

Why is it important that Jesus was sinless?

When the Bible says that Jesus was, "made sin", what does this mean?  Why does it matter?

Why is a foundation of our Righteousness in God so important in our pursuit of practical holiness?

In Christ,
