To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
We are in the midst of the celebration of the most important week in the history of the world. This week we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. For those of us who have experienced the rich love of Jesus this is something we celebrate every day, a deep delight in His Gospel, and this week our focus grows ever more distinct with the world watching around us! God is at work in our people and through our people, and it is exciting to see and be a part of! He is so good to us, and this good is guaranteed in the Gospel (Romans 8:32).
This week PRAISE HIM! God has given us an amazing gift in salvation and it displays richly who He is in His holiness and love, and it is an opportunity for us to praise His holy name. As you awaken each morning rejoice in the richness of His grace, and thank Him for your salvation. Never grow tired of the Gospel, or its being shared in your hearing and heart! Let it drive and define your life.
This week PRACTICE following HIM! Let His love flow through you to others. To those who need it forgiveness and grace, to those who are close to you, self sacrificial lavish love, to those who need Jesus a willingness to invite them into His presence. The Gospel message this time of year should not only thrill our hearts into praise, but also should cause us to obey Him no matter what the cost, and to reach out to those around us in love and grace. Following Jesus through all of life comes from knowing and experiencing His friendship (John 15:13).
This week PULL others towards HIM! I love the stories I seem to be hearing more and more of, of our reaching out and inviting people into relationship with Him. True greatness comes from pointing to Him (Matthew 11:11) and we do that when we live HOLY lives that are pleasing to Him, and share with others the reason for the hope we have in us!
Please PREPARE your hearts for Sunday and be PREPARED for amazing things that God will do in us and through us! We serve an amazing God, and He is at work in this place and through this place and we are privileged as His people to be a part of it! This is a great week, and through prayer and your petitions I believe eternity will be changed!

NOTE: We will be celebrating the Lord's table on April 8 this year.
If you are willing to meditate on the richness of the Gospel this year, using His Word, you will not remain the same! Take the time to read through the Gospel story, or reflect on passages like Romans 5 or Romans 8, pray Ephesians 3:14-21 for yourself and others and you will not remain the same!

Please pray for me as I preach on this precious Sunday and for all who come, that we would be transformed into His image!
