To God’s Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
An email was sent to many of our servants who are getting ready to gather again, last week, with the following words, THE END IS NEAR. I believe this to be true, as we prepare to open our zones again, and look forward to NO restrictions it is still hard to be apart…so as we see the light, may I encourage us to keep trusting God, loving one another, and staying committed to His bride at Cloverdale Baptist Church.
Stay strong in your faith, and continue to engage in ministry by the INVITE 1, ENCOURAGE 3…passion. If each of us continues to do this, our re-engagement will be more complete!
As we stay connected….it is not easy, and little things like technical difficulties remind us that we are not together as we would like, and it is not quite right! This is a good chance for me to say a HUGE thank you to those who are serving us in these ministries and giving so much to keep us connected...so THANK YOU! Please make sure you take the time to watch the service as it helps us to grow together, and take the time to say THANK YOU to those who are working so hard to keep us focused on Jesus! If you have not watched Sunday's service, please do so...it is the key way that we grow together.
Remember this Sunday is COMMUNION Sunday…so please most importantly prepare spiritually, but also have bread and fruit of the vine ready as we fix our eyes on Jesus, remember the Gospel, rejoice in our unity and surrender fully to His will and way for our lives! This is a gift that Jesus has given to the church that we rejoice in, and encourage you to join us in in worship of our King!
Remember to PRAY: It is impossible for us to thrive in the midst of COVID, or anything else for that matter without prayer. So please Pray! In fact, call someone else in the church family and pray with them! The more we pray, the more impact we will have! We do have a prayer meeting on the last Thursday of every month, and would love you there with us, unified in our pursuit of God's glory through prayer.
If this week you Invite 1, encourage 3…and PRAY for CBC, send me an email, and the first 10 that contact me will get a copy of Piper’s book, When I Don’t Desire God. This is one of the books that helped me get through the year last year in a way that stayed focus on Jesus and I think one of the best for basic spiritual growth. Piper sent us as a church a number of them (so thankful for this ministry), and would love for you to have one if you will take the challenge!
Memory Verse for this month…Romans 15:5-6…take the time to love these verses and obey them with joy! I am so thankful for the unity God has blessed us with at CBC, but I don’t take it lightly….and if we all fight for it in the Spirit’s strength, we will have it…so choose not to be the weakest link. Check out the Examining The Scriptures, that Elias so capably puts together for us, and let us know and obey God's Word!
Sunday Is Coming:
Title: Following King Jesus Together
Text: Romans 15:1-13
Take the time to read the text!
Paul won’t let us stop looking at the importance that Jesus places on unity in His bride….why do you think that given the number of Bible’s that have been published and the difficulty it was before the printing press to copy this, the Holy Spirit took so much time for this?
Most of Romans 15 is a focused interaction with 14, and the more we seek to understand it, the more we will see the importance that God places on this…may our lives match His passion for unity!
Prepare your hearts to stay focused on Jesus by disciplining your eyes to not let go of tremendous beauty of the Gospel!
We are never more unified than when we properly take communion together as a church family. Please join us in this gift to the local church, and in its profound intimacy with God and one another.
Some Announcements:
Please check out our online bulletin that is updated every week: Keep Informed
cloverdalebaptistchurch.ca/
Other:
Please help our search committee as they look for the man of God that will help us exalt His name in song and deepen our love for Him as we celebrate His greatness together. We long for God's man for the ministry, and would like this to be sooner than later (our timing), so please pray, and help us to pursue this patiently and in God's POWER! If you know of someone please have them contact any of the search committee members (the chair is tim@cloverdalebaptist.ca)
Every Sunday we have CONNECTION CAFÉ: Join us before the service in a time of sharing what God is doing. We need to try significantly harder to stay connected during times like these, so please make this effort to connect!
Kids ministry is seeking to serve you, and help in discipling our children and families even though we are not gathering physically. Please take advantage of this, and continue to make church a priority that your children can see and taste!
There will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL this week, and starting the following Sunday a working through of Platt's book, Radical.
Thanks all for staying informed, and for being a family who has a positive impact for God's glory and the good of His church in the world He has sovereignly placed us. Thank you for giving to the Lord's work at CBC, and staying connected. We know that takes extra work at this time, and appreciate you for taking the extra time!
What a joy to know that God is a very present help in trouble,
Pastor Rob
Please stay serving:
INVITE 1, ENCOURAGE 3...& no one will fall through the cracks.
