To God’s Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
What a joy it is to serve the RISEN SAVIOUR! Was discussing with one of our staff today on the richness of knowing He is real and with us! Psalm 16:8; Psalm 46; all of life!
WE SERVE A RISEN SAVIOUR!
This also means that we are bought with a price, and therefore our passion is to live our lives for His glory. To display the beauty of who He is and what He has done in His power. This is an incredible privilege that when we realize what we are involved in is overwhelming in its responsibility and honour!
This means that TODAY you will have an opportunity to represent Him, to encourage a fellow believer or engage in a Gospel discussion with someone who doesn't know Him yet. Anticipate this! He has placed you where you are, for His work...and what a privilege it will be in eternity to rejoice that we did not waste these!
Now that we are His (1 Corinthians 16:19-20) how we steward what He has entrusted to our care becomes really important! How we use time, treasures and talents to display His value is a direct overflow of our relationship with Him. It is good to remind ourselves in this precious season of what His death, resurrection, and ascension mean in our lives today! He is our Risen Saviour! He rules, and our lives belong to Him. He has called us to gather to grow and scatter to sow, and we have this privilege of being those who carry His message too so many that need to know Him as Master.
This week is MASTERS week. My favourite TV week of the year. A time when traditions are treasured and the place is as precious as the people golfing. If you enjoy golf, let it remind you that because of the resurrection, your life is the Master's life, and the place you have been given in His plan, a powerful motivator to watch for and walk in the good works He has prepared in advance for you to do (Ephesians 2:10). If you’re not a Masters fan, skip this paragraph, and keep reading...okay, too late, so pray for your pastor that he won't be too distracted in this distasteful hobby of his (the Master's is a golf tournament if you didn't know, might even describe it as THE GOLF TOURNAMENT).
Thank you to all who helped to make our Resurrection Sunday Breakfast a success. It is more and more important that we continue to make the effort to STAY CONNECTED during this time! THANK YOU! Remember, INVITE ONE, ENCOURAGE THREE...& Use every opportunity to help others know and follow Jesus!
Our giving is starting to lag, and so good for us to be reminded that this is an important part of who we are and how we serve. If you haven’t given for a while, please let this be a reminder that we continue to need resources during this time, and if you have, THANK YOU! Also, our pastor who was serving in the communion service forgot to announce that it is benevolent offering opportunity so, if you feel led to give above and beyond your normal tithe, please mark it benevolent and we will use it to be a blessing to those in need in our community.
30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World – April 13-May 12 2021
Each year CBC partners with those around the world to pray for the Muslim world during the month they celebrate Ramadan. This is a time of year that many Muslims are seeking a deeper understanding of spiritual truths and there are many examples of Muslims finding Christ as they seek God’s revelation during this time.
Each day for 30 days a people group within the Muslim world is featured, helping you learn about their culture and their situation, and then specific prayer points are provided to guide your intercession on their behalf. This year there multiple days that feature Muslim people groups that are now represented in cities across North American. They could even be one of your neighbours.
We have again provided the prayer guide in PDF format that you can download to your digital device from the church website.
We also have a number of printed guides available at the church. If you would like one and cannot get to the church to get one in time, please contact the church office and we will do our best to get you a copy.

It is important not only to celebrate Jesus, and to receive Him, it is also essential to STAND in Him, to GROW in our relationship with Him so that more and more it drives and defines us!
The Gospel is the foundation and focus of our lives if we want to be those who live in a healthy way for Jesus!
- Why do we need to keep the Gospel in focus?
- How can you make sure that you are living in relationship with Jesus, and not someone who is playing church, or enjoying traditions?
- What does it mean that we need God’s Word to grow as His followers?
Why is this so important? - What does it mean to pray constantly?
- How is this even possible?
- How can you be a healthy part of our church family so that you can stay strong in your walk with God?
- How can you improve in applying the disciplines of relationship in your life?

I love that we are a group of people who are committed to our covenant as members. We are adding a few members during this time, and Lance and Marina Franson, Sheldon and Beryl Schultz and Lynn Morin have been through the course, interviewed by the elders, and signed the covenant to join Jesus family at CBC in this committed way. We publish their names so that you have an opportunity to welcome them if you know the into our community, and also if you have any concerns you can let an elder know.

Please help our search committee as they look for the man of God that will help us exalt His name in song and deepen our love for Him as we celebrate His greatness together. We long for God's man for the ministry, and would like this to be sooner than later (our timing), so please pray, and help us to pursue this patiently and in God's POWER! If you know of anyone...please share with them this amazing opportunity and have them apply!
Kids ministry is seeking to serve you, and help in discipling our children and families even though we are not gathering physically. Please take advantage of this, and continue to make church a priority that your children can see and taste!
