NOTICE OF GENERAL BUSINESS MEETING (GBM)
INCLUDING SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS AND MOTIONS

Please be advised of the upcoming General Business Meeting which is held in accordance with the By-laws to consider general business matters, including Motions and Special Resolutions.
DATE: Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
VENUE: Via Live Streaming (similar to Sunday morning service – Information with Links to follow)
Motions and Special Resolutions to be considered:
1. Adoption of Minutes as Amended - July 14/21, 2020 and October 28, 2020
THAT the minutes of the July 14/21 and October 28, 2020 business meetings be adopted, as amended.
2. Scrutineers (for information only; not for voting)
In that the voting platform of Survey Monkey is secure and confidential, the voting results shall be sent directly to the Church Clerk and the Elders Chair.
3. Special Resolution to Elect Deacons
THAT the following be elected to the office of Deacon for two-year (2) terms, commencing September 1, 2021:
- Murray Isaac as Deacon of Missions (incumbent)
- Yuriy Kostritsyn as Deacon of Exterior Properties (incumbent)
- Deacon of Security (incumbent)
- Peter Sylvester as Deacon of Media & Technology (incumbent)
- Dan Townson as Deacon of Men’s Ministry (incumbent)
4. Special Resolution to Affirm Elders
THAT the following be affirmed in the office of Elder for three-year (3) terms, commencing September 1, 2021:
- Tim Radke as Elder (incumbent)
- Lee Wiebe as Elder (affirm)
5. Motion to Affirm Directors
THAT the Elders of Cloverdale Baptist Church be affirmed as Directors for the coming church year, commencing on September 1, 2021.
6. Presentation of 2021/22 Budget – Dave Esau, Deacon of Finance
THAT the 2021/22 budget be accepted as presented.
NOTE:
- You will be emailed the Agenda and additional information on Friday May 21st
- You will be emailed the Link to Survey Monkey at the end of the General Business Meeting on May 25th for voting on Motions and Special Resolutions
- A Paper Ballot option will be made available on Wednesday, May 26th, if necessary (the Office will follow up on this option).
