Prayer

To God's Beloved Children At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

What a joy to be able to come to church, and enter into the new building and praise Him for all He has done to allow us to be here to worship Him together!  I praise God and look forward to seeing how we can use this new tool with excellence in the coming years.  Please join me in praising God and dreaming ministry.  This morning I came in the main doors, and rejoiced in the privilege of seeing our work and sacrifices taking shape.  PRAISE GOD!

I enjoyed another Canada day celebration.  We live in an amazing country, and as we celebrate the privilege of living here, let us remember 1 Timothy 2:1-4 and pray for those who are leading this country, especially with an election that is coming.  Please also continue to pray for the persecuted church around the world, even as we remember our freedoms and praise God, let us remember brothers and sisters who are being persecuted just because they are followers of God.  Pray that they would find courage, strength, and freedom in their fight to obey Jesus no matter what the cost!  Pray also for those seeking to minister to them, as they go seeking to bring comfort and joy to them.

Our Cloverdale Baptist Church Soccer Team WON!  We went into a shootout after overtime and it was a great celebration in victory.  We are in the CHAMPIONSHIP game...so come and cheer on the team...in Burnaby, Friday at 7.  GO CLOVERDALE BAPTIST GO!

REMINDER:  Tonight (Tuesday) we start our summer prayer meetings.  We are in a spiritual battle and one of the main tools that we have in this fight is our prayer time together.  We believe it is important as a leadership team, and encourage you to spend this one hour with us in praise and prayer.  We will be focusing on mission accomplishment through dependence on God in our time of prayer.  If you love God, and our church family, please make this a priority.  The will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall from 7-8 pm.

I praise God that the search committee is bringing a new pastoral candidate to the church family July 16-19.  Please take the time to pray about this and to get to know this man and his family as we seek God's will together for our future.  We need your help in this process, as together we humbly seek the face of God!  We so long to effectively shepherd the flock of God effectively here, and this position of worship in music and assimilation is key to our next steps of health as a family.  We would ask that you also set aside the evening of the 21 at 7 pm, for a time of prayer and this seeking of God's will in a congregational meeting where we will ask our members to express their prayer filled belief of God's will in a vote.

Soccer Camp Is Coming...very quickly.  This Sunday night, July 12, will be the soccer camp clinic.  Please come and join us in seeking to reach children for Jesus and help them grow.  Cookies need to be in by July 12 as well.  If you have any questions please see our interns or Pastor Stewart.  What a privilege to share the Gospel as we learn together about soccer, and as these lives are changed through faith, there are celebrations in heaven!

 Sunday Is Coming:

Title:  How Great Is Our God?  I AM

Text:  Exodus 3:1-15

Why do you think that God named Himself this?

How do you think we should use the name of God?

How does the eternality of God impact our lives?

May your week be amazing, as we praise God, and enjoy fellowshipping with one another!  Our God is AWESOME!

Charles Spurgeon said, "There is something exceedingly improving to the mind in a contemplation of the Divinity.  It is a subject so vast, that all our thoughts are lost in its immensity, so deep our pride is drowned in its infinity...nothing will so enlarge our intellect, nothing so magnify the whole soul of man, as a devout, earnest, continuing investigation of the great subject of the Deity"

The most important thing about you is your view of God!

Have a great week!
