Prayer Is The Greatest Impact We Can Have

To The Beloved of God @ Cloverdale Baptist Church:

It is an exciting week of prayer, and already it has been a joy to pray with so many, to see so many more praying and to hear the testimony after only a few days of God's work in our lives.  Prayer is hard work, and can be a struggle, so encourage you to continue to join us in this struggle and seek with me for the further passion of being a praying church.  We want to move forward, unified with the mind of Christ, on our knees.  We need your help to be a praying church!  Please pray, and join us in prayer!

The rest of the week, we will continue to pray, and seek God's face.  We do not have, because we do not ask...can you imagine what we will have when we ask, in our passion to seek the glory of God, to conform ourselves to His image and exalt His name.  What a privilege to pray, and to know in our dependence, we have a sure HOPE!

Thank you for those of you who prayed for me last week as I was teaching at Pastoral Ministry at Millar College Of The Bible...thank you.  It was a privilege to teach in a school that has a deep devotion to Jesus and His Word.  As we equip our children and youth to follow Jesus, it is a delight to see others seeking to help us in this process.

Wanted to remind you that you are an Ambassador for Jesus.  That if you call yourself a Christian, you are His representative in the world, and as such encourage you to share the Gospel with someone this week.  Your life and lips are the way He has chosen to make His appeal to a lost and hurting world.  "It is as though Christ was making His appeal through us, BE RECONCILED TO GOD".  We have an amazing privilege, and responsibility!

Sunday is coming:

Please pray for me as I prepare messages, and as I preach.  I long for the Spirit of God to work in me and through me so that we as the people of God would conform to the image of Jesus!

Title:  Now What?  Be My Witnesses

Text:  Acts 1:8

Over the next month we are going to focus on our role in accomplishing the MISSION of Jesus.  Missions Fest is coming, and we long to be a SENDING and SUPPORTING church, but even more a GOING church.

We need your help in doing this!

Read Acts 1:1-11

What had just gone on?

Why does a commitment to Jesus as a person mean a commitment to His mission?

Why do you think that our greatness as individuals and as a church does not come from us, but rather from pointing effectively to Jesus?

How can you personally be a part of sharing the Gospel with others this week?

Looking forward to, not only the rest of this week, and all that it will bring, but also an amazing Sunday!

Serving you with joy, and your prayers...
