Keep On Praying

To God's Beloved @ Cloverdale Baptist Church:

Believing that prayer is important, or even that we do not have because we do not ask, will not help us unless it drives us to pray.  We live in a generation where what we believe and how we live does not always mesh, and at CBC, our goal is to help each of us make sure they do.  Our prayer week far exceeded my dreams, and showed the passion of our church to pray together.  This was very exciting!  Thank you for all who came, and for so many who couldn't and joined us in prayer from where ever you were.  Our goal was to have many gather each day and pray, and we accomplished that!  Another goal was to bring into our church a passion to pray more consistently.  I have heard from so many of you that this was also accomplished, so may I encourage you to carry on, personally in prayer, as well as to watch as we build more and more prayer into our corporate life.  Be encouraged God is at work at CBC!

To continue in prayer as a church we are going to have and Elder led prayer time every Tuesday morning at 10:00 am in the admin wing.  All are welcome, and the majority of time will be spent in prayer.  We will also be starting a course on prayer in the coming months, that will spend half of its time teaching on prayer, and half praying (more on this soon).  Looking forward to other ideas as they come in as well!

Missions Fest is coming.  As it comes, we want to remind people that call CBC home of our incredible privilege and responsibility to be a part of what God is doing to reach people in our own community, as well as around the world.  God has placed you where you are to be a part of His plan, so strongly encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity as His ambassador.  There are people that will hear and see the eternity shaping Gospel best through you.  Take heart, in gentleness and courage, share what God has done for you, and give people an opportunity to trust in Him.

If you are a newcomer (started attending after August of 2015), we would welcome you to a Newcomers Luncheon.  It would be our privilege to share a few things, and get to know you in a low key environment over food.  January 31, lunch is on us in the Gym, if you find yourself in this category please plan on joining us.  We will also be having a New Members meeting to introduce people to what it means to be a committed part of our family.  This will be on February 21, at 2:00 in the afternoon at the church.  You can sign up with Dan Radke, or at the information desk.

Sunday Is Coming:

Title: Now What?  Being His Family

Text:  Acts 2:42

Why does Jesus make the church so important for every believer to be a part of?

Why do you think many struggle committing to a church family?

How can you be a healthy part of our family here?

How can we make sure we are ready to grow?

What are the things you need in your life if you want to grow as a believer?

How can you become more committed to growth in your life over the next few weeks?

Hope you have an amazing, prayer filled, Ambassador Life for the glory of God!

Privileged to seek God's glory with you,

Pastor Rob
