To God's Beloved @ Cloverdale Baptist Church:
This Sunday we are going to learn a new song, that is going to be sung all over the world by churches who long to accomplish the mission God has given us. The song is called, Facing A Task Unfinished, and you can find out more about this on the Getty's website, and I encourage you to go, and see the map of churches involved all around the world who, by singing this song with us are declaring a commitment to the task to share the Gospel with the world. Thank you Pastor Les and worship team for learning this, and Peter for making us aware of this. It will be a joy to gather, and sing, and declare with these other churches our commitment to missions! It is so encouraging to know we are a part of a much bigger family of churches that is working with us for God's Glory!
Would appreciate your prayers as we seek to discern God's will on a Canadian Coalition of churches who will gather together to glorify God, and encourage one another. We are longing for an impact bigger than any church or denomination can have. We have the privilege of being a part of the initial planning team, so please pray for me and the meetings that are to come.
Pre-requisites for revival, at least in history, PRAYER; BIBLICAL PREACHING & CHURCHES WORKING TOGETHER to see this happen. Pray that those in leadership would have wisdom as we pursue this together for God's glory.
I was encouraged this morning at our prayer meeting with Colossians 3, and praying through that for our congregation! Please continue to make prayer a priority as together we seek God's best! We will be having a corporate day of FASTING & PRAYER in March (22), please consider joining us for this, more information to come.
Our (Lori and I) boys came back (three of them) from the youth retreat, encouraged. One said to me, "we are so blessed to have Pastor Thomas as a youth pastor, he loves us and our church so much". A joy to hear from our boys, and I agree! Please continue to pray for our pastoral staff and their families, we need your prayers!
As a church we are seeking to build a culture of evangelism. We are doing this through evangelistic programs, teaching, and preaching. If each of us would reach one person with the Gospel, we will have to go to two services. Then, if that kept up...WOW! Please pray about who God would have you witness to, and make an effort to share the Gospel with those around you who need Jesus! If each of this takes this as seriously as God does, we will have a tremendous impact in the coming months!
Membership Class: We are having our Membership Class on Sunday at 2:00. We would love for you to join us at this class to learn more about Cloverdale Baptist Church, who we are, and how we long to Glorify God. This is an informational class, and all are welcome. If you want to know more, please contact Dan Radke.
Sunday Is Coming:
Title: Learning His Loving Authority
Text: Mark 11:27-12:12
"It is impossible to be neutral towards the Jesus of the Bible", if this is true, why does it seem so many are neutral towards Jesus?
What does it mean to recognize Jesus authority?
How can we respond correctly to Jesus in every area of our lives?
How can we represent Jesus in a way that shows people who He really is, and demands that they respond to Him as LORD?
How can we celebrate baptisms in a way that glorifies God?
Looking forward to worshipping with you Sunday and beyond!
Pastor Rob
