Greetings Beloved Of God At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
It is so exciting to hear stories of God being at work in our midst. I praise God for those who are faithful in loving, and bringing friends to church and Jesus. It is so exciting to be a part of His plan, and to see eternity impacted in the Sovereign plan of God through people like us. What a privilege to be a part of our family, and to see God at work. Because of what God is doing in our midst there are celebrations in heaven this week (Luke 15:7). Thank you for your faithful part in this! Keep offering to Jesus and His church what little you have, boast in your weaknesses, and we will see the power of Jesus at work in His church all the more!
As we grow, our desire is to see our culture of love and holiness delighted in. This is not easy, as we live in a world that is more concerned about self than others. Romans 12:10 creates a competition to out honour one another, so encourage you, as you live your life to take captive the thoughts that are selfish, and to use them to spur you on to this call of God to outdo one another in showing honour! Only as we do this will our desire of being a multi generational, multi cultural church be possible!
Was reading in Psalm 85, and this prayer request is echoing in my prayers this week, "Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you." I long for this for our family, as we seek to glorify our King together. Please pray this for our church, and for yourself!
On Saturday we had a Garage sale, and as an overflow of the missional hearts of our College and Career ministry, raised over $1700 to free children from slavery in Cambodia through the organization called Ratanak International! What a joy to be a part of something so important, and lives will be changed because of this ministry that was put together and run by our C & C! Thank you to all who participated and please pray that this money would have a tremendous eternal impact!
Be aware of the number of retreats we have coming, including men, women, and seniors. It is helpful to go to retreats and conferences like these to see us focus on God and receive a more intensive growth focus for our lives. Consider attending (those focused on you) with a passion to love one another and continue to grow!
