Better Late Than Never

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

We are entering PHASE 2.  Please stay alert as we try to discover what this means for us as a church in terms of limited gathering.  We are seeking the counsel of our medical experts in the government so that we do what we are allowed in a safe way.  If you would like to engage in these partial gatherings STAY ALERT.  No pressure but we are hoping to bring a limited amount of people in on Sundays, for prayer meetings, and perhaps Bible studies.  Not sure yet what this looks like, so in these uncertain times GET READY, STAY READY...and please be PATIENT!

Thank you for the efforts you are making with us to stay connected.  Each week your stories are so encouraging, and I praise God for the way you as God's people are loving others and staying connected.  Thank you also for so many inviting people to view our studies and services, and the continued blessing of the giving of God's people!  We are so thankful for your commitment to Jesus mission through His CHURCH!  Thank you!  We continue to be overwhelmed by your willingness to find creative ways for us to be the church.  Please keep it up, even as this situation seems to be dragging on and on and on.  I truly believe that as each of us pursues God, and a deeper love and connection we can be a more and more healthy through this!

We would love a picture of you at our Bible studies, zoom Growth Groups, or during our worship service.  We are putting together a picture video of these and would love for you to be a part of it.  Please send in any pictures you have, or take them this Sunday, and we will use it as a reminder of our unity in gathering during this pandemic.  THANK YOU!

If you have skill and a willingness to help us in the area of lighting, please contact the office.  We are constantly looking for ways to improve and right now we are looking for people who have this skill and can help us to continue to create an atmosphere online Sunday mornings that engages the hearts and minds of God's people.  You can contact Jeff Godard directly, or reach him and John B. through the address below.

Sunday Is Coming:

Thank you to so many who have been a blessing to me after Sunday's service.  I think it is the most feedback I have ever received, and it is such a blessing to know the hunger of God's people at CBC to be Biblical and to know who God is and what He has done from His revelation.  It may be one of the least addressed passages in Scripture, and one of the most difficult and your hunger and loyalty to God make my ministry of preaching the whole counsel of God a blessing!  Your prayers and passionate pursuit of God with our church family are deeply appreciated!

Text: Romans 9
Title: Amazing Power: Part 2

It is so important for us to know God through the study of His Word, and avoid the flesh, world and demonic temptations to de-god Him.

We need a BIGGER BOX, and that box needs to be God's Self Revelation, His WORD

  • How does this chapter, especially verse 14 onward show us that God is JUST in His Sovereign election?
  • If God is truly free, then why does He find fault in the choices of humans?  He holds us responsible for the choices we make, why?
  • What does the texts answer to these questions teach us about the heart of God as revealed by the Holy Spirit?
  • How does this passage relate to Romans 8 and God's love?
  • Why did Paul introduce the Sovereignty of God with his own passionate pursuit of people who don't know Jesus?
  • How does Romans 10:1 help us understand how we should respond to this chapter that focuses on God's AMAZING POWER?
  • How does this chapter help us to find peace and rest during a pandemic?

It is a privilege to serve you now, as together we partner in the Gospel during a pandemic!

Pastor Rob
