I Am So Glad

To God’s Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

My mom loves to sing.  One song that I remember (and there are many) from my growing up years is, “I’m so glad, I’m a part, of the family of God…”  Mom…AMEN!

I love that we can be united around our love for Jesus, and the overflow of that a love for one another and a life of mission.  Jesus loves the church, and so do I!

It is not easy living in this world and battling with the flesh, the devil and the world, but it is a joy to do this with the family God has placed us in.  Be encouraged to continue to engage with one another and actively be the family of God in this local church.  We do this in a number of ways, but the key passion we should have is to glorify God together by encouraging one another, and building one another up!

Take the time today to send a note, make a phone call, BE AN ENCOURAGER.  Someone who struggles with health issues mentioned that they would appreciate more calls and cards.  I know we do this extremely well, BUT…we could get better, and the pathway is if each part does it’s work!  Would you please join me this week in making our family even better at loving one another and unifying in our desire to have the mind of Christ and display His love and our unity on Sunday’s and beyond.  TOGETHER we are STRONGER and much more EFFECTIVE!

Thank you for being a great family!  I AM SO GLAD I AM A PART OF THE FAMILY OF GOD, and a part of this local family that represents His bride!

With Paul Weme’s help, I am a walker.  Every morning I wake up and go for a walk, and on that walk I run into people who get to know me as Mya’s friend (our dog), or the pastor of the church on 64th.  I invite people as I get to know them, and  a few Sunday’s ago a neighbour greeted me at the door with his wife, and reminded me I had invited him a number of times.  I was pleased and surprised.  Please invite people, and when they respond and join us, and experience God’s presence and love here, don’t be surprised, rather rejoice that God’s Spirit has chosen to use us to be a blessing to the communities He has placed us in.  Mya can be a bit of a pain, but her walker can be a blessing if he remembers the clean-up bags, and also that God has placed him on that walk to represent Him.

Sunday Is Coming:

Title:  Better By Far

Text:  Revelation 14

  • Why is it important to be those who are looking forward to eternity, and live our lives in light of this treasure that is to come?
  • What do you think the MARK OF THE LAMB is?
  • How can you make sure you have this mark?
  • How does Revelation 14 speak of the wrath of the Lamb that is to come, and how can we live in light of this reality as well as eternity in heaven?
  • What does it mean to walk by faith in this culture we live in?

Thankful to serve you as my spiritual family,

Pastor Rob
