To God’s Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
This week my heart was so encouraged when I heard one relatively new person say to another newer person, “We just love the people here, and you will too”…was overjoyed to hear, “we already do” come back.
Thank you for being a joy to serve, and for seeking to love one another. Thank you for doing such a great job of creating an atmosphere of love. We live in a world that is isolating, and in this world of isolation we are seeking to be an island of love and connection, and your love and engagement on Sunday mornings is helping us to do this with great effectiveness. Keep it up, and each week actively look for fellow believers to encourage. THANK YOU!
Pastor Thomas said to me this morning how delighted he is in the amazing response of God’s people at CBC to our hamper drives again. The way we have given will once again allow us to be love and light in the world and in our fellowship. This is an incredible opportunity to share the love of Jesus and once again you are helping us to do this with your generosity. THANK YOU!
As we enter into the Christmas season, we have more new members than I think ever before in our history. We are thankful for this, and rejoice in so many joining us on mission in this area for God’s glory. Reminder that each of us who call this church home exist to help not only create an environment of love, but to engage and invite others into this island of love and display God’s love together in unity.
If each of us INVITES ONE, we will continue to see this encouraging growth trend, and be a part of what God is doing in and through this place. This Sunday is a great opportunity to invite a friend or family member that does not usually attend, as we are having our Kids Christmas story, which will display Jesus love and grace in a creative and cute manner. We will also preach the Word with a focus on, WHY CHRISTMAS: Jesus came to seek and save the lost…an opportunity for us to join Him in this eternity impacting purpose.
It is a joy to serve this family and see so many wonderful things happening. I can’t wait for the opportunities of 2023 and all that we can accomplish for God and His glory.

John 18…to testify to the TRUTH. The Gospel. To call for us to live in light of this truth, and be loyal to it in a world that is filled with confusion and chaos. Oh that we would reject the worlds, "truth", and be loyal to THE TRUTH.

Review the text with someone else and discuss what you think this means in terms of why Jesus came, and the impact it makes on our lives now.
- What does it mean to be lost in the way Jesus is using this term?
- What does it mean to be sought by Jesus?
- What does it mean to be saved by Jesus?
- How does this initiating love from God show us how we should be active in our communities?
- Remember, if each of us invites one, together we can accomplish MUCH for the glory of the living KING! Who is your one?
