To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
Just checking in...who were the 5 people from Cloverdale Baptist Church that you took the time to bless last week? It would be easy to assume others will do this, but if we all take ownership of being a loving church, our reputation will GROW!
Who are the 5 that you are praying for, and pursuing an opporunity to show the love of Jesus to that don't know Him yet? So many need Jesus and the biblical way of changing the culture is to be used by the Holy Spirit to introduce people to Jesus. Let's change Canada one person at a time!
This summer we have an amazing opportunity to engage together in God's work as partners in the Gospel for God's glory, and your part in this is key for us to succeed the way that God wants us to. Take 5 to make sure you are engaging in the 5*5*5 challenge!
Share with me how God is using you to encourage others, reach others and be a blessing. May our stories increase as we celebrate that God uses people like us to impact eternity!
One of the ways we partner together in growth is to memorize God's Word. May I encourage you to grab a bookmark, and at the very least read this verse every day. It is worth it, and I promise you if you memorize God's Word, you will find it easier to gain victory over sin, and unite around the things that actually matter.
I love this verse as a reminder to our hearts of forgiving rather than taking our complaints against others, to others. What a great passage that if we obeyed would end all slander and gossip! I LOVE COLOSSIANS 3...
Sunday Is Coming:
We are in our series on the Parables and have entered a significant time in Matthew 13. This is a chapter that has Jesus style of teaching change from previous chapters in Matthew (only two other parables before this).
Why do you think Jesus told parables?
What can we learn from the parable of the sower?
Why do you think Jesus begins his parable telling in the book of Matthew with this parable?
Take the time to notice who the sower is, what He is sowing, and what the soils are described as in Jesus explanation.
What is your favourite parable and why?
Share with someone else in your sphere of influence something you are learning in your devotional life this summer.
REMEMBER to come to our summer prayer meetings...and if you know someone who could serve us in our new pastoral position, please let the search committee know.
It is an honour to serve you, and help you to live a God defined life!
