It has been a tiring and wonderful week and it is only Thursday...
On Tuesday I had the privilege of spending time in the studio of Back to the Bible Canada, preaching five sermons that will be aired from August 31 - September 4. This ministry has as it's passion a return to God's Word for the nation of Canada, and it was a joy to spend time with them, and be a part of this ministry. I am excited to see what God will do with this sermon series entitled, Amazing Grace: More Wonderful Than I Imagined. Thank you for the opportunities you give me as your pastor, to serve Jesus and the larger evangelical church, it is appreciated! Would covet your prayers for the impact of these messages around Canada. If you are looking for good biblical messages throughout the week, Dr. John Neufeld is well worth your listening to as he preaches God's Word with loyalty, conviction and excellence! He will be joining us on September 13, to preach at our official church opening, and it will be wonderful to have him join us there.
Our official church opening is coming, to celebrate the new building and the ministries that we are able to accomplish through this amazing tool. Would encourage you to not only come and join in, but also to invite others and show the love of Jesus through your interaction with people. I would also love to see us advertise this effectively. We are doing a flyer delivery in our own Neighbourhood, and you are invited to participate, it would also be great to see Cloverdale Baptist Church and her ministries and events like this pop up on your Facebook, or Twitter, or ....
Use the avenues of influence you have to help us together accomplish the mission God has given us. Celebrate what God is doing in your life through your small group, sermons, Sunday School lessons, etc. as an encouragement for others to be engaged and involved. People pay a lot of money for advertising and we have the opportunity to communicate the greatness of God and the ministries of Cloverdale Baptist Church for free, so lets do this together!
Growth Group ministry is one of the most important things we do as a church. If you would like to be a part of this ministry please sign up at the welcome desk, or send an email to the church office and we will seek to make sure you can find a place to belong and grow close to your home. As we grow bigger as a church we want to make sure that the community we desire is available to all.
Sunday School for the entire family is starting on September 20. Watch for more updates, and as you prepare for the new year this is another opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and one another. There will be three adult classes this year, and we encourage entire families to participate and grow together by discussing all you are learning when you get home! ALL ARE WELCOME
This Sunday there will be a baptism, our first in the new facility, and that is so exciting! If you would like to obey Jesus through being baptized as a believer, please contact one of our pastors and we would be pleased to be a part of helping you in this!
