To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
We are now nearing the end of September and most of our programs are up and running. It is exciting to see so many new people (and old people), and to be growing together in our passion to accomplish the mission that God has given us as a family. We exist as Ephesians 1 repeatedly tells us, TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORIOUS GRACE! May His grace so overwhelm us that we live in a way that displays how amazing His love for us is.
I am working on some mentoring content for our men's ministry, and this week reviewed our material on how we use our mouths and was reminded again of the importance of how we speak in terms of praising God, not cursing people. Our mouths are given to us to encourage one another and praise God. This week, choose to encourage, and challenge others to encourage (Ephesians 4:29). The unity that God wants us to have, and the passion of service He calls us to will only occur in the context of gracious speech. Help us get there by not tolerating gossip or slander in yourself or others, and by choosing to bless! Write a note and use our church mailboxes to express love. Give a gift, and don't sign your name. The more we are known for our love, and building one another up the more we show ourselves to belong to God (Ephesians 5:1-2; John 13:34-35). May our family be filled with seasoned speech (Colossians 4:6).
AGM: Reminder we have an AGM coming, October 26, at 7:00. All other ministries will shut down, and we invite you to join us in our worship of Jesus this night as we review how God has blessed us over the past year. Please prayerfully prepare, and help us be all that God wants us to be!
Was reminded of the importance of social media in modern advertising the other day. If you are on facebook, or use twitter, or any other social media, would you consider advertising how wonderful CBC is, or if a ministry has touched your heart sharing about that? One of the ways we can reach our community is to share what is going on, and one of the best ways we can do this is social media! Share what you are learning, and in this share how God is using the different ministries to bless your life!
