Thanksgiving

To Ambassadors Of Christ Cleverly Disguised As_____________:

It is good to be a part of our family!  In the midst of us broken humans, God is at work and choosing to show His love to us and through us.  Had a friend in the office last week sharing that he was visiting someone who is sick, and how great a privilege that was for him.  He expressed that he was in essence visiting Jesus, and then shared Matthew 25...and he was right.  As our church grows larger and more diverse our need to be functioning in a healthy way as the body of Christ increases.  Please take the time to visit those in need, and let us know when you know people who would like a visit.  God is good, and uses us to show His love to others, if you need to be encouraged in this way, read Matthew 25:31-46.  You are his touch to those who need to feel His love, and we are doing this well, but always could get better!  Thank you Heinz for that reminder of how to love Jesus, by loving others!

Thanksgiving weekend is coming, one of my favourite holidays of the year!  It is not only a great time to eat food with family, but also a reminder for me (us) of the importance of thanksgiving.  If you find yourself heavy with a situation that you are in, or critical of someone else, take the time this week (and beyond) to express your thankfulness to God and one another in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:17).  If you spend most of the time you are speaking, thanking God and others...then you will discover that you are more and more obeying Ephesians 4:29.  Today, express thanksgiving at least five times for things or people in your life, and seek to make obedience to God's will in this area a joyful pattern of your life.  I am so thankful that I have the privilege of being your pastor, and the joy of seeing so many of you growing to love God more, and seek to obey Him!  What an amazing privilege!

AGM:  We have a congregational meeting on October 26 at 7:00 pm.  This is a chance for us to praise God together, as well as to make decisions moving forward that will impact our ability to Glorify God as a family.  Encourage you to join us prayerfully, and help us to be the church that Jesus wants us to be.

Please come Sunday rested, and ready to hear God's Word to you, as we look to the Bible for comfort and conviction...

Sunday Is Coming:

This is our last message in the Glorious Gospel Series, and we would ask that you prayerfully review the journey we have been on so that together we will be a church that is living Gospel Oriented Altered Lives.

Title:  The Glorious Gospel:  Living A Gospel Oriented Life:

Text:  Hebrews 2 (Topical)

What do you think it means to ignore the Gospel?  Hebrews 2:2-4

What does it mean to live a Gospel oriented life?

What does it mean to preach the Gospel to yourself every day?

Do you do this?

What is the danger if you do not?

What are the benefits if you do?

I have so enjoyed this series, as we have sought to see the Gospel Realities lived out in every day life!  Thank you for sharing with me the impact this is having on your lives, and my prayer is that this would deepen and widen, and that we would more and more be a church family that is Gospel Oriented!  Take the time to review your booklet, and may God through the power of His Holy Spirit cause His Gospel to be richly experienced and displayed in our lives!

Thankful to belong to Jesus and serve  you,

Pastor Rob
