To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
It is good to be a part of the family of God. What a privilege not only to be saved by grace, through faith, but also to now as those who have died to self and come alive to Jesus join with one another in praising God and growing to conformity to His image.
Be encouraged, as you walk through the pathway that God has prepared for you, that God has a plan, and is at work, and if you know Him, you have far more in that than is imaginable from a human perspective. Try to begin your conversations this week with thanksgiving, and let the depth of your understanding of what God has done drive your heart to praise. This will protect your from all sorts of despair and conversations that are not honouring to God! As Psalms closes, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, PRAISE THE LORD". If others come to you hurting, or bitter, listen, and in your love actively direct them to praise, as this chases away almost all negativity!
We are having another baptism this coming Sunday. If you are ready to follow Jesus in obedience to Him in this precious symbol please contact a pastor as soon as possible. These are exciting times together as a church family! God is at work, and we are seeing many obeying Jesus in baptism.
Don't forget to book your table for the garage sale on April 23, and join us for a fun fundraiser to help children who are trapped! It is a worthwhile cause.
New Comers Luncheon: If you consider yourself a newcomer and want to learn more about our church, please join us on April 17 for a lunch immediately following the service. This is an opportunity for you to join us and get to know our staff, building, and ministries a little bit better.
PRAYER: Please be in prayer for our elders and deacons as we are joining together in a Joint Servant Team retreat this weekend. This is a lot of time together of study, prayer and seeking what God desires us to value for the future. Your prayers for our time together are NEEDED!
Sunday Is Coming:
Title: Q and A With Jesus: The Greatest Command
Text: Mark 12:28-34
:What is the most important thing in your life?
If you were to pick the most important Bible text, what would it be? Why?
When we say that something is most important, it means we are willing to sacrifice other things to accomplish this, what are you willing to sacrifice in your exclusive love for Jesus?
How does that show currently in your life?
Why do you think this exclusive and inclusive command is so important to Jesus?
How does your relationship with Jesus currently impact your life?
What steps can you take to experience God's love so richly that it changes everything else about you?
Have a wonderful week, as you seek to show others how amazing God is!
A fellow Image Bearer,
Pastor Rob
