Keep On Connecting

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

Happy Thanksgiving...I know we said that last week, but thinking that obedience to God in this command of being thankful worth reminding our hearts about.  I love Psalm 103 (think I will preach from it next thanksgiving) as the Psalmist lectures his heart about blessing the LORD.  May we be a thankful people that overflow from our hearts through our mouths to create a movement of thanksgiving to God, that glorifies His name.  Write out three things you are thankful for and share them with three people...and you will encourage your own heart and theirs!

I am thankful that God is Sovereign, Good, and Loves Me, so trusting in His wisdom I can rest in Him.

I am thankful that I get to pastor Cloverdale Baptist Church, and serve God's bride here, and help her conform to the image of Jesus.

I am thankful that I have a wonderful family that shares my love for God and love one another.

I am thankful most of all for my salvation in Jesus, and that I am destined for glory because He has promised to finish what He started!

I know sometimes you must think that we are a bit of a broken record, but here it is again, during this pandemic it is essential we stay connected as a church family.  This means a lot of extra effort, and we are aware of that, and thankful many of you are helping us with this.  We want no one to fall through the cracks, and this means that each of us must go out of our way to encourage those around us.  If we take ownership of this, rather than sitting back and wishing others would contact us, we will thrive through this pandemic.  Who are you going to encourage this week?

We are starting an ONLINE Connection Cafe, on Sunday mornings, after Sunday School and before church.  This will run from 10:00 - 10:25, and if you zoom in you can join together with others to connect with those who are a part of your church family if you can't attend in person.  If you are interested in joining please check on our website for the link, and join us!  WE MUST MAKE A HUGE EFFORT TO STAY CONNECTED!

Please, as you do your devotions, grow through your growth group, Sunday school, and Sunday services, reach out to others in our church family and share God's love with them!  Try to be an strong encourager to those God has placed in your sphere of influence, and even to some outside of it.

We have a new ROMANS BOOK available at the church office for a suggested donation of 5$.  You can also buy on Amazon...

There are a number devotions, bible studies and space to take notes, and we believe it will maximize your spiritual growth as we study the last chapters of this amazing book!  We will also offer a free downloadable copy on our website before the series begins.

Called Out, Sent In conference coming in November.  We are sponsoring a TGC online (and live) conference on November 7.  We will be joined by a church in Calgary and Newfoundland as we seek to maximize our holiness, and our impact for God in the world, but not of the world.  You can sign up to attend online (free, but must be signed up), or find our link online and join us for a morning in God's Word here, and across Canada.

Sunday Is Coming:

Text:  1 Corinthians 15:58

Roy Comrie is speaking, and sharing how we can persevere in our lives and ministry.  Some times we will feel like giving up, and if we carry on in our service of Jesus and His bride we will reap rewards if we do not give up.

Read this text, and seek to commit it to memory as you grow in your desire to persevere!

Don't forget to memorize Isaiah 40:31.  If you have memorized this verse, read the entire email and took notes on last weeks message (and haven't won anything yet), the first email response will win a beautiful mug designed by Elias.  If you don't hear back from me (last time had way to many to respond to each individually), you didn't win :) And it is a very nice mug, just ask Pastor Thomas :)

 Privileged to serve,

Pastor Rob
