Holy Week

To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:

This week we celebrate the most important event in history, and all that surrounds it.  It is a week of WORSHIP, of declaring He is worthy, and of seeking to realign our lives with His priorities.

It is also a week that reminds us of the mission He has called us to live on.  That each of us would love Him so much that we would be compelled to share with others in our community about Him.  We call this a culture of evangelism, or what 2 Corinthians 5 calls it, being His Ambassador.

This is the yard work done for a neighbour in the name of Christ, meals delivered to encourage the sick, conversations done in love to point people to Jesus, walking our dogs and sharing with people we meet the greatness of who He is.

He has made us to INVEST our lives in others, and to use every opportunity we have to share of the hope we have in Him.  it is not making people your projects, but rather seeing them through God's eyes and knowing He wants to use us as His voice to them.

We want to be a place where you can INVITE your friends to come and see us worshipping and loving one another.  The church exists for the glory of God, and we can invite people to our gatherings so that they can see how much we love Him.  Use this season to invite your friends to Resurrection Sunday to hear of the risen Saviour and to see our lives lived with the cross being the CRUX of the matter.

As we gather look for opportunities to INCLUDE people around you in conversation, and connecting so that we are known for our love.  Come with filled with God's love so that you display it and devote yourself to including others in it.

This week is the most important week of our calendar year, and we want as a family to display God's love as we live IN the world, but not OF the world.

Remember to join us for our pancake breakfast...and delight in reconnecting with our community of faith at CBC.  The pancake breakfast begins at 9:15, please invite people and come and join us in making this a time of love, laughter and delight in God.

Good Friday Service:  Reminder that we worship the One who died in our place.  This is a heavy service as we remember the price that was paid for us, and commit to declare His death until He returns.  We will celebrate communion, and rest in His love and sacrifice together as we REMEMBER what He did for us!  10:30 am.

It is good to be a part of the family of God at CBC, and to see all that God is doing in us and through us.  Find a place to serve, be a part of the love that is shared, and join us in seeking to live Christ centred, WORD saturated lives in a lost and hurting world!

This is our time, and we are His to live it for...

Delighted to serve you during this week, and beyond, because of His love for us,

Pastor Rob

Sunday Is Coming

HE IS RISEN!

  • How can we learn to live our lives in the context of the RISEN SAVIOUR all of the time?
  • Reflect on Ephesians 2:1-10 and delight in the story of our salvation from an eternal perspective.
  • What does this teach you of the need of grace?
  • How can you live so that Jesus is supreme in your life?
  • What changes do you need to make so that your time/treasures/talents display His importance to you?
  • Who can you share the Gospel with this week?
  • Who will you pray about inviting into our services this week?
  • How can you help us develop our culture of evangelism at CBC?

Church Member Candidates: We are so excited as God continues to build His church at CBC, and bring people committed to Him, His family, and our Mission.  The following people are in process of joining the church family through membership: Leonora Bugtong, Doralee Eggert, Josiah & Amelia Hall, and Lael Kliewer.
