The King

To God’s Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist:

We have a new King.  I am not sure what I think about the monarchy, but like traditions and history and love stories, like King Arthur.  I also think that as Christians our KING is not new, but One that we must always remember and submit to.

Maybe a good reminder to ask yourself who is your King?  For me, easy to say that although I like the concept of royalty, really don’t have any allegiance to king Charles…maybe more when it prince William comes to the throne, but I doubt it…FAR MORE IMPORTANT is my relationship with Jesus and His KINGSHIP in my life.

So, a question as the news is filled with the coronation of a new king, how does your life show that Jesus is your King, and you live in full surrender to Him?  How do you serve Him?  What are you doing in your life to be His ambassador?

Jesus is the KING OF KINGS and the LORD of LORD’S…and one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.  Better now and then!  He is GOOD, so you can trust His commands always!  He is Sovereign, so you can know that no one can snatch you out of His hands, and He is All Wise, so His plan is the BEST even when we feel lost or alone.

WE HAVE A KING!  WE WILL SURRENDER ALL!  WE WILL SERVE WITH ALL WE HAVE AND ALL WE ARE!

Sunday is our last message in our series on Revelation.  It has been a long journey, and one that has been a huge blessing to my own heart!  Jesus wins, and all who are loyal to Him in the brokenness of life in this fallen world will overcome!  He is WORTHY!  He is our KING!  Heaven is real and worth living in light of, and serving the bride of Jesus well worth giving our lives to!

As you prepare your heart for Sunday…

Title:  What Now:  Responding To God's Call

  • What have you learned in our study of Revelation?
  • How has this shaped your love for Jesus?
  • How has it shaped your view of Him?
  • What changes have you made in your life because of the book of Revelation?
  • How does hope drive you to holiness?
  • What else would you like to learn as you seek to grow deeper in your walk with God?

It is good to be in the family of God and study His Word.  May we know it and apply it that we might have a firm foundation, and fellowship with God and one another!

Pleased to await the COMING KING with you,

Pastor Rob

P.S.

Don't forget Mothers Day!  I am thankful for Lori, and so blessed to have her as the mother of my children!  I am so thankful for my mom, and her godly legacy.  Take the time to say thankyou to your mom, and to pray for them, and others who might find this day difficult through loss, or inability.
