To God's Beloved @ Cloverdale Baptist Church:
22 is a very special number. Stay tuned to find out why...
Thank you for your prayers, and giving, things are going well in our desire to get in our building soon. We are close! Our plan now is to have our first service in the new building, God willing, and permit provided, June 21. Please pray that this would be the case, as we do need a permit. The building is getting very close, and the excitement in our hearts for the use of a tool like this for the glory of our King is growing! I am so excited not only to get over to the new building, but also to see how God will use it to show people in our community and world how great He is. We have been granted the opportunity to serve God and the people around us, and in that I rejoice!
I was so encouraged to hear of another great offering for the building on Sunday! Praise God for His people responding joyfully and sacrificially as we seek to finish with our goal of being debt free in sight. 103, 000 came in on Sunday. Praise God! We are doing our next fund raiser on June 20, with our bikeathon and walkathon, and we want everyone involved. You can still sign up, and certainly there are many people still looking for sponsors...our desire is to have a lot of involvement in this so that not only do we raise a lot of money, but we have a wonderful time as a church family. Please sign up this Sunday. Please join us in this effort as a family.
We had an amazing Joint Leadership Retreat, a time of seeking the face of God, and of longing for the Spirit's filling as we move into this next exciting phase of ministry together. It truly is a privilege to serve with these people, loyal to God, and Cloverdale Baptist Church. We as your servant leaders are committed to leading you with passion and joy towards a fruit filled life for the glory of God. Please continue to pray for us as your leaders, that we would have the character and the wisdom to lead in the way God wants us to go.
This week, an email reminded me that we should be obeying 1 Timothy 2, and praying for our leaders. This is so true, please review this text this week, and spend some time praying for civil, provincial, and federal leaders. We live in a great country, and our leaders need our prayers.
Book For The Summer: Living By The Book, by Howard Hendricks. This is one of the best simple hermeneutics books available, that will help each of us to read our Bible's more effectively. There are assignments in the book that will not only get you into your Bible, but also will help you become more effective at getting more out of your Bible. It is a simple, helpful read.
Sunday Is Coming:
Title: Lessons On The Journey: Redemption To Impact
Text: Numbers
Why is it important for us as Christians to know the Old Testament well?
There is much to learn from the journey the Israelites took from Egypt to Canaan. Why do you think the Bible focuses so much on this historical event?
As you remember what happened, list out some lessons that we can learn from them, and their journey, as we seek to live out our faith here and now?
May God bless you this week, and may we take advantage of every opportunity to represent Him well!
A Fellow Servant Of The King,
Pastor Rob
