To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
I love our new building! It is so nice to go to the office every day, and praise God for what He has blessed us with, and enjoy an amazing place to serve Jesus. I was reminded tonight at prayer meeting that as we praise God for this gift from Him, we should praise Him even more for the people. I praise God for you. Someone shared with me today that they have been so loved at our church, overwhelmed as they experience the love of God through us. Another sent an email to me today expressing thankfulness for you, as they have walked through a valley with the love of God's people surrounding them. Thank you. And may we increase in our love for God and one another. WELL DONE! May the competition of Romans 12:10 ever increase, even as we change our verse of the month on Saturday...
Summer Discipleship Class will start August 9, Sunday morning, from 9:10 - 10:10. There will be four classes, on: 1. What is a disciple and how do I be one? 2. How in the world can I grow in holiness?; 3. It's a war out there, and in here how do I battle?; 4. I am so glad I am a part of the family of God, how do I love the church like Jesus does?. It will run for four Sunday mornings same time and place. We would like to know how many are coming so we can be prepared with handouts and coffee. If you have a longing to grow and learn in your faith, this class is for you.
This is a class that is for every believer, and all are welcome, but please sign up. We will be meeting in the upper Sunday School room, next to the Kids Church room, and across the hall from the Youth Room. Bring your Bible, and we will spend time interacting with the disciples that come on how to deepen our intimacy with the God of the Bible.
Next week many of us are away at Sunnybrae Bible Camp. Please pray that this would be a time of refreshment, and I would also covet your prayers for me, as I preach God's Word and seek to help people to get to know Him better, and to live lives in obedience to the Bible. May our God strengthen relationships and change us in this week away, through your prayers and the power of His Spirit. Allow this to be a reminder also to pray for youth we have in camp ministry, as they seek to draw children into a relationship with God. It is so exciting to see our youth serving Jesus in this way!
It is always a joy to see so many people serving in our kids ministry, as we again saw Soccer Camp come and go. What a joy to see children being blessed with the Word of God and the love of God's people. If you prayed, served, or helped us ahead of time in this ministry...THANK YOU!
Pray for Les and DeeDee as they finish their ministry in the Salmon Arm area, and prepare to come and join us in the service of our King here. May our God use them to unify us in praise of His name, and love for one another. It is a blessing to anticipate how God will continue to move in our church with power as we seek to be a church filled with people who are full of God. Pastor Les will start on September 1, although he will be busy preparing his heart and ministry for us in the mean time. The best way we can bless them now is PRAYER!
Sunday Is Coming:
Title: How Great Is Our God: God Is All Wise
Text: The Book Of Ezra
If you have time read through this book and seek to notice the wisdom of God in the chaos of life.
What does God being ALL WISE mean?
Respond to Tim Radke's quote at prayer meeting, "How well we know our Bible's is how well we can know God".
Meditate on, "God knows everything that can possibly be known"
God's ALL WISDOM is, "application of God's infinite knowledge in a way that accomplishes perfect ends by the best means possible"
How does this help you trust God in the midst of any valley?
How does this help us as a church choose to believe God's Word is best, even when sometimes the culture around us struggles with this?
Have a great week serving Jesus, looking forward to seeing you Sunday, and serving Jesus with you!
A fellow servant, who loves the bride of Christ at CBC
