To God's Beloved @ Cloverdale Baptist Church:
It has been a good week so far at Sunnybrae Bible Camp with many of God's people here. It is a great opportunity for me to preach in the morning, share the Gospel in the evenings with children (and their parents), and also devotionals for the staff. I love being here with my family, and other families and have this opportunity to GET BACK TO REALITY, the way God sees it. Would really appreciate your prayers, for strength and the Spirit's filling as I serve Him here with God's people.
Was a part of a memorial service last Saturday, and it was a blessing to share in the grieving and celebration of someone who has lived life well. One of our precious seniors who has moved into a home shared with me that she prays for me and the church every day, especially on Saturday's (her Tower of Prayer day), what a blessing! She is unable to attend our church gatherings, but is joining us in our struggle by praying for us. I was also blessed to be reminded again through the memorial service to live life well and be a blessing to others, as well as to be prepared for death. We need these reminders, or we can get caught up in the mundanity of life, and miss incredible opportunities to impact those we love, and to love God effectively now. Let the death of those you love impact your desire to live in a loving way, and also be a reminder to be prepared for, and live in light of, eternity. Colossians 4:5 reminds us of the importance of using the time God has given us wisely!
Our first discipleship class for the summer starts this Sunday. If you would like to be a part of this, we are meeting in the Upper Adult Sunday School room. Our goal here is to deepen our faith, and grow together in love as we connect with God and one another for His glory. It is a four class series, and will run from 9:10 - 10:10 on Sunday mornings. All are welcome, but please email me if you are coming as we want to have enough space and handouts for all who want to join us in this journey.
"What you think about God is the most important thing about you". I pray you have been enjoying the summer series on the Greatness of God, and it has helped you to know Him more intimately and to live your life with joy in His presence!
Sunday Is Coming:
We will be looking at the Power Of God, and rejoicing that He is ALMIGHTY GOD.
Please meditate on this, and other attributes we have studied so far, and spend time praising God!
See you Sunday!
